Ian has been writing and producing music since 2010. Working with such bands as Ruthless Ones, Greasemarks, the Slow Drags, and Shook Boys.

Ruthless Ones

From 2010 to 2019, Ian Robertson wrote and produced for the Toronto Punk Rock malcontents, Ruthless Ones. The band released 4 albums including That Static which was produced by Blue Peter’s Chris Wardman and funded by FACTOR Canada.

“Ruthless Ones play delinquent rock & roll; a proto-punk sound all their own by experimenting with garage rock tones and west indie ska nuance/texture. Constantly striving to put the same  amount of talent into the band as the excitement and energy they have leaving  thrashed out shows in their wake”
– Lenny Stoute

While Ian has written a lot of music for Ruthless Ones, No Fidelity is the first album he fully produced for the band.

Shook Boys

In 2019 Ian started playing with rockabilly delinquents, Shook Boys

Murry Robe

The thoughts expressed in his crude rockabilly quatrains is that life is not easy or nice… but it is fun. Whether you hear his wild and unusual music or know his eccentric personality, it is evident that Murry Robe is a Rock & Roll laureate.

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit the music scene hard with no live shows happening, let alone band practices, Murry started releasing a recording each week since March 2021 as a way to stay creative during the pandemic. His songs are a mix of fictional stories involving romance and existentialism to a 1950s rock & roll music sound as the backdrop. In true punk DIY fashion, he plays, records, produces everything himself other than a few noted features.

Murry saw these demos as a chance to be creative and even tho he did not plan to take it too seriously, he has released over 25 singles on Bandcamp, has an EP entitled “In Too Deep” on all streaming platforms, has had his songs played on radio stations across North America, released a 45rpm record of his song “Miss Anne” on Rockinitis Records with a limited 100 copies print and a music video for his single “One Kilometre Away.

You can hear Murry Robe’s demos on all streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, ETC), on Bandcamp, follow him on Instagram.
